Step-by-Step Directions to Setting up the Give Plus+ App

 

Downloading the Give Plus+ App:

  • Some steps vary depending on if you’re phone is an Android or an Apple phone
    • Android users - go to the google app store.   
    • Apple users - go to the apple app store.  

 

  • Search for 'give plus' in the search bar at the top of screen
    • Once you have found the app, click install and wait for the app to download
    • When it’s fully downloaded, an icon will appear showing “Open” and this will take you into the app

 

  • The Give Plus+ App will prompt you to select a church or zip code.  We suggest to enter your zip code.  This will narrow your choices quicker and easier.
  • Once you have found St John Lutheran Church, the app will ask you to create an account.
  • It will ask for your first name, last name, email, create a password and then confirm that same password.
  • Hit the submit button and you now have an account with the app.

 

Setting up a payment method:

  • Make sure to have a credit card or check handy
  • Next, you’ll need to find the three white bars in the top left corner.  They will open a drop down menu where you will be able to select a variety of options to enter in your account.
  • Select
  • Next, an orange plus sign will appear in the bottom right corner.  Tap the button.
  • You’ll be prompted to enter your credit card or checking account information.  If you choose to use a check, the routing number is the first 9 digits on the bottom left of your check.  The next set of numbers will be your account number. 

 

Setting up an Offering/Donation:

  • Once you’ve saved your banking information, select the three bars in the top left corner again and go to 
  • This will open another screen where you will be able to click the orange plus sign in the bottom right corner.
  • You will then be able to select which St. John’s account you’d like your donation to go (for instance – general fund or building and maintenance).
  • Then, you’ll be prompted to select the amount and frequency of your donation. 
  • Once you’ve done this, select “Add” at the bottom.
  • Then, confirm your donation by clicking the arrow in the top right corner.
  • You’ll then be prompted to select your payment method that you’ve already set up.
  • Finally, you will confirm your donation by selecting “Complete Donation”.
